A friend from middle school and high school in Oklahoma is extremely talented and has just released a new CD. I thought you all might like to hear a few tracks and hopefully buy the album. You can hear the beautiful songs here - http://tjmccloud.com/
For reference, you might check out the infamous and mortifying (for Brooke) "Bunny Story" . I recently learned that this story had been posted on the internet ... and I must say, it does not paint me, my family, or my dead dog (God rest her soul) in the best light, but it is worth reading and quite entertaining.
I did find out that through the online "comments" following this story being on the web, I was publicly "outted" as being a chick with a "she-stache" (hair on the upper lip).... I have taken care of it since highschool and I am hoping that karma has now done it's due diligence (refer to Bunny Story) and we can all move on.
God Bless the hairy upper lip, the bunny, the dog, and TJ's music career....

OMG!!!! This whole thing is sooo funny. I read the bunny story and that guys "cool guy" approach to talking about the hot girl that never talked to him...the whole thing is HILARIOUS! I love that you have a great attitude about it. did you really find your dog tied up covered in rabbit blood? super classic childhood story!
his comment is so funny because i am sure he never thought you would read his blog & he totally tries to make him feel better that the hot chick never called with the she stache thing - I am sure you never had one of those. also, I have never heard it called a she-stache, but I think that is a great name!!!!
it is a really funny story... I never had any idea what happened... All I heard from my mom was that she felt awful b/c she heard Tele killed a bunny. i never really knew who's it was or how it happened. I am just now hearing the whole story. I don't think I was home that day b/c i never found her tied to the tree ... guess mom or clark did.
That was a terrible dog! she was literally insane and out of control.
I also feel bad b/c I thought I was pretty nice to TJ and always thought he was a really nice guy... I hope I was never too aloof... I tried to be friendly to everyone. I also never realized I was a hairy beast... NOW i know and make sure to keep up with the grooming.
lessons learned... his cd is really good though... check it out.
I live for stories like these.... I have a similar story of my brother's about a hamster. Now I have something to blog about!! I'm also sure you were so super nice, you are the nicest person I know!~
Johonna is my friend who lives in singapore right now w her hubby - they will be moving back to San Fran in a yr. BUT they are world travelers - they just went to montana for a wedding 2 wks ago and now they are in hawaii! they will for sure make there way to you. ALSO, her husband, Aaron really is a great fly fisherman. He was the only one I ever knew who fly fished - till I knew about Peter!
Hilarious! Love the bit about the she-stache. As a prego on prenatal vitamins and hyped hormones, this is something I have become all too familar w/ these past eight months. Needless to say, I visit the waxing salon frequently and look forward to the day when I can once again rest in peace...i.e. fuzz free.
i want Johonna's life!
ok. I just can't remember when I have been more ashamed and embarrassed. I had forgotten all about that and am sitting here horrified- wishing for someone else to blame that post on.
Please forgive me for a comment that was meant to be more exaggeration for the sake of funny than true-to-life. The girl in that story is not Brooke Cottongim. You were always sweet, never stuck-up. You were always beautiful- never hairy.
The post has now been removed.
Hopefully a few more years of marriage has matured my sense of humor since then.
My best to your new fishing/hunting outfitting business- and thanks for promoting the CD even though I saw fit to be a jackass a few years ago.
In Neighborly Love,
TJ
tj, I always knew it was in jest... truly no harm done! i think it's hilarious and I have NO shame or pride for that sort of thing... Please don't remove the story... it's too good!
I appreciate your ability to get it on paper so it is etched in history! This is all fun and games ...
CONGRATS 100 TIMES OVER for all your adventures, success and life... It sounds like you are doing exactly what you were born to do... :)
