Christmas Morning ... and we still love toast.

This my friends was the toy du jour on Christmas day ... and everyday since. A silly pink piggy bank from Santa.

Sure, other stuff was fun .... She was always appreciative and overly excited about her gifts. But ....

The gal just wanted her toast! And another helping of TOAST!

The darling mini-kitchen went over well too... Too bad it didn't have a real toaster attached.

Our extra special, super hip, dear, dear friends from far, far away (that's New York City) sent Matine this amazing wooden push cart for her First Birthday! Since she has no clue what a "birthday" is yet, we opened it early --- It is already the most fun thing in the house. We push it, climb on it, and love to be pushed (while standing) in it.

Hooray for beautiful, well-made toys that let a kid use their imagination! This one will be around for many many generations.

We love you guys and wish you could be here to see her play with it!
