Oliver has a tea party

Yes, it is true... Our cartoon-like dog sat down and had a tea party with a 4-year old... Tea Cups and all.

Abby & Libby came over for breakfast while "the men" went and shot elk yesterday (yes, they both got one and we are SO happy about it). I decided to give Libby her Christmas present early - a little porcelein tea set with princess designs on it. Perfect for the girl who thinks she really is a princess.

Oliver quickly learned that the hostess of the tea party was handing out "real baked goods" on the little plates. He promptly sat himself down in the circle and waited patiently for Libby to fill his plate over and over again with cookies. He was the perfect tea party gentleman. He even lapped water out of his tea cup when he was thirsty - without knocking anything over, standing up or eating the tea set.

This prompted a much bigger plan... We decided to make cookies and fudge for CHristmas presents and then have another tea party with the cookies we make. So, off to the store and then the Kinsey's for ALL DAY BAKING FUN!This is Libby informing Oliver that "you will just have to wait to play with me... I am baking cookies for our tea party.... Yes, LATER we will have tea again, Oliver. You silly dog."

Libby really enjoyed the ginger cookie batter.

By the end of the day we had a few dozen cookies baked, iced and decorated, 2 pans of fudge and the boys had 3 elk in the back of the truck! It was a very 50's Housewife / Man day.

Oh Oliver, I can't wait for you to meet your cousin, Buster. He too loves all tea parties and other events held by little girls.
