This morning we dedicated Matine John Howell in the waters of the Yellowstone River. While we had family in town and our resident "minister" (Jim Wofford) was visiting we figured now was as good a time as any.
Matine wore a baptismal gown that has been in the Buell (Joellyn's side) family for 120 years. Every Buell that we know of has worn this same gown. It really is a work of art.
We passed Matine around, each stating our wishes, hopes and prayers for her. She got a little Yellowstone River water on her cute head and away we hiked back.
I really like this one spot that is a bit of a jaunt of the road. We had to walk over the train tracks, under a bridge, through some brush and a bit of mud -- but, oh well. It was peaceful, quiet and along the waters that have become Our Church over the years.
This is a bit of video (before the batteries died).
