We had a GREAT long weekend - just as any Easter should be it was filled with family, babies, good food, and dogs chasing bunnies.
Thursday night Eric and Amy stayed with us here in Livingston. We doted on baby Cash, had some Digiorno pizza and watched movies. Friday we all went to Joellyn's house where we stayed for the rest of the weekend.
We loved playing in the hot tub with Cash, feeding him, laughing with him, reading him books, and generally making fools of ourselves entertaining the newest Howell.
On Saturday it was gorgeous out! Joellyn and Amy rode their horses while Pete and I took a really great LONG walk. It felt so good to get sun on our faces and walk and talk for over 2 hours! I felt like my uterus might actually fall right on out by dinner time, but it was all worth it to have a few stolen minutes with my darling hubby before our single-ness is gone forever.
The cousins came up that evening - David, Tiff and Loni. We played some bocce ball outside and the Big Taboo game and ate some more pizza. It was really nice.
Sunday morning we woke to enjoy the hot tub again and a sky that seemed to be telling the story of Jesus' resurrection and victory - the colors enough were testament to His miracle.
Jo, Pete, me, Amy, Eric and Cash joined Heidi and Ellee at Riverside Country Club for a classic Easter Brunch. It was so nice to be with friends and family this holiday. Holidays are hard without John - we sure miss him. But it is amazing how new life, new friendships and LOVE get you through anything.
