37 Weeks and the Placenta MOVED!

Do you see that smile? See where those fingers are pointed???

That there is MY PLACENTA! Not down low anymore, but up at the TOP of the uterus (where it's supposed to be)! We were hoping for a few inches of migration from the darn thing. Needless to say we were overwhelmed and shocked when the specialist in Billings casually told us that "you look great . . . The placenta is no problem what-so-ever! It completely moved to where every other woman in the world's placenta is when she delivers! "

We now get to wait and have all the anticipation of having a baby when she's good and ready.

The doc did tell us she was "tiny." I immediately asked if she was too small, but he quickly reassured me that it's not a bad thing to deliver a baby that is a normal size. "She just won't be a 10-pounder by any means, but she is just fine and perfectly healthy."

So friends and family who have been sending endless sweet messages, prayers to the sky and happy thoughts to my placenta THANK YOU! We mean it - you have no idea how happy we are that we get to try and bring this little gal into the world without surgery!

Praise God! That is such wonderful news Brooke! Yippee! I bet you can hardly stand it just knowing this is going to go a little more like you'd planned! There's nothing like preparing for one thing and then having to change it up at the last minute!

You look adorable as always! I love seeing that beautiful smile of yours! Oh happy day!

Wow! That's great! They were hoping it would move an inch but it totally flip flopped. It makes you wonder if there was a real concern to begin with. I can't wait to hear how things go and to see her darling face!!
