Jeannette Marie Romig is FINALLY marrying Matthew David Blank this coming weekend. This past weekend was filled with all of the symbolic gestures and events that mark the ending of the "single life" and the transition to an apparently "different" life.
Matt and Jeannette are two of the most fun people on the planet, so it is only natural that they have really fun and cool friends.
The boys whisked Matt away to the Big Hole for a fishing / camping weekend, while the ladies showered Jeannette with a 'proper' (this term is used very loosely for purposes of this story) farewell to bachelorhood.
We laughed as hard as we could as we had drinks and food at Jeannette's house. We played games (who doesn't love a good pinata at a party?), and her more creative friends even gathered bits and stories about Jeannette's life, Matt, and their relationship and she was showered with rhyming words and props for her very own "Ode to Jeannette" skit.
All the bases were covered - we had an 18 passenger van to escort us wherever our tipsy little heads desired, we had party games for the bars, and of course, silly things for Romig to wear. Nothing says "watch out - loud group of drunk girls coming through" better than a cowboy hat with a veil, boa and crazy wigs.
Yes, even the non-bachelorette's wore wigs this evening. We felt a bit incognito in our town of 6,000. I had no idea I looked so fetching in a short purple wig with bangs.
There were many highlights of the evening - most involving our favorite creepy bar and the place ALWAYS sure to take a good party to the next level - the Hiatt House. To name a few- 80's butt rock, TJ pulling down men's pants, Jeannette spinning around the dance floor on some dude, the ultimate 80's party queen head banging until her neck hurt, That Guy game, ridiculous dancing, beautiful girls, and hangovers in the morning.

"Pony Tail Guy" "Too Old to Be Here Guy" "Fake Tan Guy" "Married, but pretending not to be tonight Guy" "Tight Pants Guy" "Wears more Jewelry Than Me Guy", etc.

It didn't take us much time to start having a good time. Romig, Kate, Brooke Lori, and the hostess, Camy.
Jeannette had a surprise skit done for her - she had no idea she had lived such a FUNNY life. We did.
From Oregon to Alaska to Montana --- she is FABULOUS!
