It has been crazy around this place lately. Reason #1 that my blogging has been pretty lame (as noted by some anonymous blogger who says "my ratings are slipping").
So, quick update - Pete has been in since the 20th of October. Prepping for week one of rifle season and he is now into week 2 of rifle. We are happy to report that EVERY SINGLE HUNTER in week one got an elk - that is 100% success folks - that does NOT happen very often with guided hunting trips. To say we are thrilled is an understatement! Please send your friends to us for a hunt next year!
We have amazing friends working for us this year - Billy B. guiding and Russell E. being camp chef extraordinaire and packing out the kills. No injuries, great weather (almost too good), dead elk, happy clients!
So, week one ended last Friday night and week two started Saturday night. Pete was home to do 3 loads of laundry, catch me up on all these fun facts, and then we had a Memorial Service to attend in Bozeman for a dear friend on Saturday, then he was off again from the Service. Home exactly 19 hours.
Just a random Bozeman shot --- part of our 19 hour time together in the truck.
My hottie hubbie during our 19 hour rendevous.
I will see him (and Oliver and Gaucho) again in another 2 weeks.
I have been keeping myself busy by training at my new winter job - bar tending and waitressing at the best restaurant in Livingston - the 2nd Street Bistro. LOTS to learn... They did well hiring a pregnant bartender - I won't be drinking ANY of their fancy high priced booze!
I have NEVER in my entire life (college included) not had a daytime job or something I had to be doing.... This is a strange feeling for me - part pure gluttonous and luxurious, part driving me mad with guilt of something. I have completely torn out our guest room / baby room closet and rearranged, moved Pete's clothes, hung up baby things, organized the baby's dresser with it's diapers, blankets, 0-6 month clothes. Laurie gave me loads of baby stuff - clothes, cloth diapers, shoes, blankets, chairs, etc... I needed to get through it and organize it.
More things to store, sort and go through!
HALF of the load that Laurie gave us --- FILLED with clothes!
Pete will be thrilled to see I have moved his t-shirt to a new dresser, shared with me!
The start of the closet! Look at the cute tiny stuff!
I have also been getting to hang out with my friends again! So nice. Yesterday I took a coffee cake (homemade - so much fun) to Laurie's for coffee and visiting. I ended up staying for lunch and the morning coffee quickly turned into 3:00pm! I have really missed my friend!
At Laurie's house - brad enjoying coffee cake with us while waiting for the trash truck (very cool truck!)
The night before last Loni, Marni and Jacqueline came over. We watched a movie and made a delicious dinner (courtesty of a great recipe from my brother Clark - BTW - contrary to the picture I posted previously, which got very mixed reviews, he is NOT gay!)
Lee and Abby and Libby had me over for dinner and Dancing with the Stars last night. I brought Libby my old My Little Pony house and Ice Cream Parlor - she loved it.
Brutus and I today will be going to Bozeman for a new haircut / color and some shopping! I need a change from my sloppy ugly mop of a head (pictures to come soon)!

Thanks for the update! You'll be so glad you are organizing the baby stuff while you still can move well and have energy to do such! Sounds like you are doing well keeping yourself entertained, and your new job sounds like you'll have loads of funny stories to post!
Can't wait to see the pics!
OK... I know you voted for Mac. Glad to hear Pete's week was such a success! Looks like you're getting well organized and keeping busy. Take it easy. Come south when Pete's done and it gets too cold.

Yeah for organizing baby things! By far they are the MOST fun things to organize! :)
