Well, 93 days into this pregnancy - wow! It is flying by. While I can't wait for it to speed up in some ways, it is only because I want to see more of what happens, not because I am not enjoying it... I LOVE it so far and I hear it only gets cooler as the baby starts to move and kick and get bigger! My energy is back... I actually feel like getting out and doing things (don't get me wrong, I LOVE having a good excuse to be in bed by 9pm), but I am generally not a sluggish person and having a little more energy is making me feel really good. There are only 173 days to go! That does not seem like very long! I am reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth M.D (thanks Laurie) right now.... It is really fascinating and such great research and advice all about the importance of sleep, napping, scheduling, and a rested child. I have already marked my calendar for major milestones and when I should be incorporating certain napping/sleep schedules in the little one's life. So help me God, I do NOT want a crybaby on my hands. That just won't suit.
Looking abit more bloated and round... I have a "pooch" now which doesn't ever go away and I do enjoy rubbing it and talking to it. Apparently it can feel me poking it and will move around when I rub my belly... I hope it doesn't mind :)
Updates: Pete is coming out of camp tonight!!!!!!! I will be meeting him in Belgrade and we will be staying at his parents house tonight. This is a few days ahead of schedule! I can't wait to have him back and we can hang out again. I have also missed the little dogs... It has been nice and relaxed with just Old Man Brutus and I, but I am ready for some commotion in the house again.
My dad will be here on the 19th for a week. The day he leaves mom and Jim will be here and stay through Thanksgiving weekend! I can't wait to have all this family time. I have so many things I want to do with them. We are hoping for a big snow so Jim and can get some skiing in, mom and I have LOTS of shopping and baby room decorating to do, and there are some fun projects I have in mind for dad's house while he is here.
I love my new jobs... I am waiting tables / bartending (smoke free very nice high end restaurant, I am not whitetrash) at the Bistro. I am done training, so I now have regular shifts. I am working occassionally at The Obsidian - a friends boutique downtown. That will be easy and fun work and now I know where I will get all my Christmas presents and baby toys.
The caretaking of the two homes is going well, I have a good schedule now for checking in and seeing about the houses. Pete will again be working at Heidi's place, taking care of horses, fixing things, moving snow, and anything else that comes up.
I will hopefully be helping out at Angler's West for a few weeks during the holidays, trying to sell some things for Christmas.
Pete and I have lots of work to do for Willow Ranch - booking and marketing trips, designing a summer pack trip marketing plan, preparing for 2009 hunts, and getting all our paperwork in a row.
I am constantly amazed that just when I worry that I won't have anything to do - wala - schedule is full again! We can't wait for ski season and some snow!

I am hoping for a lil girl!!
Thanks for the update and the pictures!! I can't imagine how excited you are! I CANNOT wait to meet little Howell! Wow, I still can't believe it sometimes. It's going to be here before you know it. You look awesome!! My gut says a girl, but I think that's just because I want you to have a little girl. You have all boy dogs, so I wonder if that means you'll have a boy. Hummm.?
micca
I have to say, either way...you will LOVE being a mommy! But, if I'd have to guess, I'd say boy...not sure why and I am usually wrong on these things!
Love to hear all of the updates and what's keeping you busy!
Okay, from one mommy that LOVES schedules...you will not regret forming good sleeping habits with your kids! It works, just make a plan and SITCK WITH IT! Owen is 3 now and he still takes over a 3 hour nap and 12 hours at night. It's incredible! Not to say that he doesn't whine, but there's discipline for that and I can recommend other books when baby Howell gets a little bigger!
Have a great week~
Can't believe you think that sexy belly is a pooch! You look amazing!
I am guessing a boy...officially.
Great update...so happy that you are over the 1st hump and feeling so great!
xo
what a beautiful mom-to-be!
This is sooo exciting! Thanks for keeping us up to date on the latest! What is the best email for you? let me know lastnametaylor@gmail.com
i love this update! and you look beautiful! loved that book you are reading by the way, and also liked some stuff from "secrets of the baby whisperer"...i echo molly...schedules are a GREAT thing! si started sleeping through the night at 3 months and now at 13 months he's still a rock star sleeper...love you!
Brooke, you look great! Can't wait to see the pics as your belly gets bigger.
I have been a very scheduled mommy from the get go and I swear by it that it makes for a happier baby! I have the book you are reading but I also highly reccommend Babywise. That is what I have used with Owen and (knock on wood) he is a great sleeper and a very happy lil guy b/c he is well rested and kiddos like to have routine. Have fun with your family and tell your mom and dad I said hello.
I second everyone else.. you look amazing! I can't believe someone looks good at 15 weeks pregnancy! :)
I'm guessing a boy, not sure why, just a boy. Not to sound like the hippie of the group (because I've read the same book and it's great!) but I had kids who were very "earthy", co-sleeping, no schedule children and that's what worked the best for them. It went against my nature because I love a good schedule and sleep ,but you do what you gotta do. I think you are so super lucky to have such a wonderful group of girlfriends and mothers who can share what worked for them! Yea for you!
YOu are adorable. I don't care if it is a boy or a girl, baby skeletor is one of the luckiest children on the face of this earth! Love ya!
Shannon
Please update, I miss your hilariousness.
I second that!
Happy Thanksgiving friend!
