Everyone, Meet Tulsa

One of my dearest friends, Ally Searcy Wiley lives in Russia. This is bad for me, because I have not really seen her in years. Even before she moved to Russia she lived in Oklahoma, Arkansas and other places... She is one of those kindred spirits who no matter how far she is, she lives in my heart and I love her dearly. She is infectious, amazing and so precious to me - still.

She has a blog that chronicles the life of she and her love, and their new baby boy Silas. They are missionaries at a school in Moscow but were able to be back in Tulsa for almost 2 months this summer. From what I can tell, they met a photographer in the park and she took some AMAZING photographs of Ally, Tim and Silas.

I checked out this photographers blog to see more of the amazing pics (look at the post It's a Small World), and realized that I LOVE HER! She captures and loves the things about Tulsa and it's people that I always have. It's hard to describe your hometown to people who have never been there. They didn't have the moments, the memories, the relationships. It's even harder to explain the beauty of a place (Oklahoma) to someone that has only know "Montana." But it is an amazing place, filled with so much love to me. Tulsa is beautiful and the people I love most on this planet are there. I am adding this Erin Conrad to my blog roll. I don't know her from Adam, but she sees what I see. And she took some pretty beautiful pictures of my friend.

Hey Brooke,
I'm still trying to navigate my way around the blogging world, so I hope you get this comment. Thanks so much for your wonderful comments on my new blog. I miss all my girlfriends...when the summer is over and Kevin home to watch baby Ellie at night, I will be looking to catch up on girlfriend time and a little nightlife : ) I can't wait for you to get pregnant, it's so great to hang out w/other mothers and their little ones. I also checked out Erin C., wow, she is an awesome photographer, love the edginess!

We are going down with two other couples (who are great) on Friday and then leaving after the game on Saturday- so maybe if you guys wanted to do dinner with us on Friday night? Not sure where or when yet, but the closer it gets to it I can let you know. That would be great!!!
