Had the best day yesterday. It was our equivalent of a 10 day Bahamian vacation (well, almost). We took the new Super Puma red raft on her maiden voyage. We turned it into a group floatilla - Dad, Peter, Billy, Abby, Jacqueline, Grif and Matt all were there.
The boys fished, the girls soaked in the sun, some did a little kayaking (Billy was MUCH more extreme than I), some of us practiced rowing our new boats (Brooke and Jacqueline) and we all had fun!
Ah, it was just what the doctor ordered. No schedule, just perfect weather, sun, and pretty scenery.
Peter decided to nearly drink himself to oblivion with his father the night before and was MISERABLE all day - but I am convinced the River was by far the best place to work off a vodka hangover. He was pretty quiet all day, but sure needed the night before and the day off. He wasn't interested in any vodka/Diet Pepsi's but he did manage to hold a rod, row a bit, and sleep on the rocks on the river.
I loved spending time with my 2 favorite men and my friends all at once! Perfection!
Oliver was LOVING the river and stick chasing.
Brooke dragging the kayak back up river.... FUN!
Lucy, The Lucifer . . . so pretty!
Billy kayaking and being a bad-A in the wave train.
Gaucho waiting for someone to throw anything in the water.
Brooke rowing her new raft. Trying not to kill Abby and Dad.
Our beautiful view of the Crazies.
The gang - we did a hamburger BBQ cookout with bruschetta, artichoke dips, goat cheese . . . the works. We don't mess around with food on the river. Notice Pete . . . on the ground.
The rock-hunters Grif and Jacqueline.
Peter hung over... Oliver was trying to drag the log with Peter on it.
