Meat Eaters

Friday night we went to Jacqueline and Grif's for a great dinner. Grif's brother Tom was in town visiting from Alabama. We had a LOT of meat last night. Ribeyes, New York strips, elk tenderloin and some really delectable elk bites wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cream cheese and jalapenos. Like a cheese jalapeƱo popper but with ELK! Yum.

Peter has been very into archery lately and he and Grif and Tom played with Grif's bow. I think I see a new obsession in our future . . .

A storm is blowing in and temps are supposed to drop to the mid 20's and we will likely see some more snow today. This morning Pete is taking his archery certification test . . . I am at the Shop all alone today and selling the heck out of our sale items! Sunday and Monday are my days off. Yippee!

This is our new Dodge Duelly truck in front of J and G's cutie house up Deep Creek.

Their backyard . . .

The yummy bacon-wrapped elk morsels. Watch out - if you come to our house for a BBQ this summer, these WILL be served! Thanks for the recipe Tom!
