Really, is there anything cuter or that can melt your heart more??? I am here to prove that there is NOT!
Libby (the beautiful angelic "Fairy Princess" you see above and below) was born on April 29th... For those of you who don't know, that is my birthday too. Since the moment I met Libby, we have had a special bond (at least I like to think so). Her parents are Lee and Abby - friends Peter have known for years through the world of fly-fishing. I immediately LOVED Abby and consider her one of those "old souls" and friends you will have all your life. Her daughter takes right after her.
As I have gotten to know Libby over the last couple of years, I have seen more and more that we have in common:
1. She loves being a "girl." All things feminine and delicate are priority. I have a non-girl side that has always been pretty strong, but I love that other side that is completely "girl." Pink, dressing up for no reason, make-up on special and non-special occasions, having men open doors for you, batting eyes, talking with sweet voices, and general "la la land" moments of bliss- that sort of thing... Libby has mastered this art of being a girl... through and through (all ladies needing to soften their feminine side, take notes). She is the epitomy of what people write about and dream of in having a "girl." Pink frilly things with sparkles, soft stuffed animals, tea parties, dress up, make believe, puppies, and dolls.
2. Libby and Brooke know how to completely "work" and melt their dad's hearts... Enough said. Anyone who has a dad knows that as his only girl, you can get anything with a "please daddy," smile, or giggle here and there. Tears are always a faithful standby.
3. We both love bathtime and running around in our underwear (we won't elaborate on that one).
4. We LOVE puppies... Especially our Brutus, Oliver and Gaucho. Unlike Libby, I have yet to pretend to be Oliver and run around the house barking... But she does and it is absolutely fantastic!
5. We both at the age of 3 circled up all our stuffed animals and teach, read, and talk to them... Completely sure that that hear us and of course, talk back. Who wouldn't really? I still try to do it with my dogs... they just don't cooperate as well as I talk to them about my day.
6. Most important, we LOOOOOVEEEEE Peter. Peter plays with Libby, always, makes us smile just by walking in a room or tickling us, "rough houses" her as she says, will make himself sick spinning and throwing her up in the air, and cannot say no to her under most circumstances. I think that is why I love the Lib-ster the most... She adores Peter almost as much as I do! (please note the hot cowboy in the pictures below, thrilled to help the Fairy Princess actually "fly" with her wand waving on Halloween!) xoxoxox
Funny side note.... Peter and Oliver (pictured above) have the same birthday!!!! Coincidence between the Oliver / Libby and Peter / Brooke bonds.... I don't think so at all! You can all look at these pics, and sigh and grin... I have a million times.
